If you repost an image without referring to the source, that's stealing!

If you claim it isn't yours and don't specify the source, that's still stealing!

Don't know the source? Throw the image into Google Reverse Image Search and you'll most likely get it. It's easy.

I don't mind my work being shared on imageboards or whatever but I hate the attitude of "it's free so I can do whatever I want with it!" Please show support for content creators.

Uncredited posting is more akin to trespassing than theft, but the issue does ultimately boil down to creators' rights and control of one's property; an issue most artists have to struggle with today.

If you haven't already, look into licensing and consider picking something more explicit based on what you want to or not to happen with your works. For instance, the CC BY-NC 4.0 only allows sharing and adaptations if the work is attributed and not used commercially. Good licensing protects the whole community.
