Farewell to Fat

A farewell soon to be forgotten!

Commissions for Ulyssexx of his characters Maggie and Alyssa, and introducing a new member of the family, Leanne! She nicely rounds off the triumvirate... or tribumvirate amirite? This is a sequel to Sayonara to Skinny, and Ulysses wrote a piece to go along:

What had been both unfathomable and unavoidable has finally happened: Alyssa and Maggie are on a diet. Their latest attempt with weight-gain potions was a mixed success at best. It turned out that actually, contrary to all plans, Maggie’s mixture worked! However, it seems that using Alyssa as evidence for its potency didn’t help with their sales; apparently very few women would buy a product that is being advertised by a model as big as Alyssa. So, now the two women are broke and –due to all the potions drank during the shows– bigger than ever. Maggie is busting out of all her stage costumes, and Alyssa can hardly even get around with her weight, so Louis Pretzel, leader of their group of entertainers, has put the two women on a strict diet. 

- I didn't know fish even COULD be this small. 
- Maggie, all fish start small. It's simple biology. 
- Well, they should have let this one grow. Just imagine the poor thing, caught and cooked in its innocent youth. 
- Stop complaining and eat your fish. You haven't even touched the other half yet. 
- I'm saving that for the night. How are the carrots?
- They're not too bad. I've always liked carrot cake. I just imagine I'm having that.
- You certainly have a vivid imagination, Mother. And optimism. You almost have carrot cake, all you need anymore is cake. 
- Cake!
- Yeah, that's what I said. Cake. Wouldn't you think those carrots would work better baked into a cake. 
- CAKE!!!!!
- Mother, why do you repeat what I say?

Fortunately (or unfortunately, depends on how you look at it), their diet is about to be busted. Maggie's sister Leanne, the white sheep of the family, has decided to make a surprise visit and what’s even better; she’s brought a cake with her. Nothing bursts your diet-bubbles like unexpected bakeries! 

I had fun with this piece, but it wasn't without complications, especially with composition. Getting the whole diet thing across, fitting three large ladies in a frame, and making sure Leanne gets the spotlight. Leanne's dress was a lot of fun - originally I had a whole lot of layers going on but we both agreed they obscured the fact that she really has a big booty. So I thought to myself, "let's make it SHINY!" and it worked. She's like a bright ray of fatty sunshine.
